The Vagaries of Current

Art Lee is remembered as a master fly fisherman who stood on the bank before wading or casting, surveying the water for the clues that would make him a “trout’s nemesis, not its butler.”

Staying low, the author scans a bank for rising trout. The demanding character of such water spurred his quest for this special rod.

Art of the Possible

A collaboration between the author and a craftsman ended a 30-year quest to solve a hundred-year-old problem: producing a long, functional 2-weight split-cane fly rod.
